This is a nice sturdy jacket. Mine does not smell like plastic and is instead made from split hide and smells like it. This is easily verified by looking at the places where the cut ends are exposed. There aren’t many as this jacket is well constructed with most seams turned over. The leather does appear to be post-processed with a dimpled pattern and dyed exterior but doesn’t appear to be fake as many “leather” jackets are. These are usually reconstituted PU leather which slips through advertising guidelines. This jacket is not one of these and it’s relative stiffness reinforces that.
The side waist adjustment is friendlier on your paintwork than the traditional front-buckled Brando.
The action-back shoulders allow for free movement. It has a useful top pocket and two zipped side pockets, plus two internal pockets. The sizing runs true: I purchased a 3XL as I like a bit of room. I’ll normally wear 2XL for business shirts. The sleeves on this size are just a fraction long, but that’s an advantage on a bike jacket, and totally correct for a 3XL.
I’m gradually breaking it in and intend to order the Kratos jacket in a smaller size for general wear.
Would definitely buy again. Great value!

I’m astonished by the quality of this jacket in relation to the modest price. I ordered 3XL and it’s true to size, being just a little loose on me. It is made of a solid textured leather and the side buckles are unlikely to damage paint in the way the traditional Brando front buckle does.
