Gentry Choice is a well-established retail company in specialty clothing industry based in Toongabbie. We have an exciting opening for a Production Manager who has experience in the traditional clothing specifically in Scottish and Bavarian outfit as well as Motorcycle safety gear.
This is a full-time role, based in the Toongabbie, NSW 2146.
The ideal candidate ensures high-quality garments while meeting strict deadlines. Moreover, the position demands strong leadership and operational expertise.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will be accountable for managing the critical path from development, through production to final customer delivery and will work closely with clients, material supplier and staff.
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing each step of the production process from costing, order confirming, indent raising, critical path management to final delivery.
First, You will understand the core requirement of clients for customization of traditional clothing such as Scottish Kilts, Bavarian Clothing and Motorcycle Gear. You will then coordinate between the client and the tailors to ensure timely production based on the agreed standards and delivery time frame.
You will also be actively maintaining the inventory levels of fabrics and materials as needed. In addition, you will be working closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
The role also involves maintaining workplace safety standards. You will also be directly involved in training other staff as required and based on the safe working practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have proven experience in production management. Preferably, they should have experience in Scottish and Bavarian traditional or custom clothing. In addition, strong leadership skills are essential.
You must demonstrate excellent organizational abilities. Furthermore, attention to detail is critical for maintaining quality and meeting the clients’ expectations. The candidate should also have strong communication skills. A moderate level of Urdu or Hindi speaking skills is preferred as you will be working and coordinating with material suppliers from overseas.
Knowledge of fabrics, stitching techniques, and garment construction is required. Moreover, the candidate must be proficient in production planning. You should also handle multiple tasks efficiently.
A diploma or degree in fashion, textile management, or a related field is preferred. However, relevant experience can also be considered.
A diploma or certificate in Adobe Photoshop designing is highly preferred
